(ASHBURN, April 18, 2017) – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) awarded GeoConcepts the 2017 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Consultant of the Year. They were ranked the top consultant after a thorough evaluation of nominations within the DBE Consultant category, including all civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, traffic engineers, land surveyors, etc. The award recognizes GeoConcepts’ “positive reputation in the industry for their professionalism, integrity in work standards and performance, commitment to business development, and their ability to uphold the spirit and principles of the DBE program.”
In order to recognize all the unique contributions of DBE firms and Prime Contractors/Consultants that have supported the VDOT DBE Program, eight different categories of awards were established. Paul Burkart, PE, one of GeoConcepts’ founding owners and Principals, received the DBE Consultant award on behalf of GeoConcepts on March 9th at the annual DBE Transportation Training Symposium. GeoConcepts is honored to be recognized for this award. We look forward to working with VDOT in the future and appreciate the opportunities our clients have given us to contribute to their VDOT projects.
