GeoConcepts provided services under two contracts for
upgrades to the existing complex. The site infrastructure
modifications consist of construction of approximately
5,500 linear feet of roadway and three Storm Water Management
Ponds, acceleration and deceleration lanes on West Ox Road
and a 600 foot ramp from West Ox Road to the Fairfax County
Parkway. The VDOT Road Maintenance and Storage Facility
will also be renovated with the construction of a new salt
dome and associated storage facilities. The Operations
Center upgrades include construction of a service building,
paint shop, maintenance building, operations administration
building, and associated roadways. The development was
planned for use by Fairfax County, WMATA, and VDOT, and
accordingly, had to meet the requirements of the various
agencies.
