The project consists of a 280,000 SF retail development
at a 22-acre site in NE, Washington, DC The site was originally
owned by the DC Dept. of Public Works, WMATA, and the United
States Postal Service and was occupied by a vehicle impoundment
lot, asphalt processing plant, trash transfer station,
and other District related activities. GeoConcepts conducted
a comprehensive geotechnical engineering study, and Phase
I and II Environmental Site Assessments for development
of a new 105,000 SF Kmart, 120,000 SF Home Depot, 55,000
SF Giant grocery store, and associated access roads and
parking areas.
