The project consists of a 430-acre mixed-use development
that includes commercial office building, retail and residential
components. Site development includes placement of over
500,000 cubic yards of compacted fill and installation
of over 10,000 linear feet of utilities and roadways. GeoConcepts
has provided comprehensive geotechnical engineering design
services for construction of seven, 4 to 6-story office
buildings within the development and two parking garages
associated with the development. In addition, design services
for a retail village center including a Safeway store were
provided. During construction of these facilities, GeoConcepts
provided staff on-site on a full-time basis to provide
observations of foundation installations, earthwork operations,
and concrete placement.
