(ASHBURN, May 8, 2009) – GeoConcepts Engineering, Inc. (GeoConcepts) recently announced that Robert K. Denton Jr., CPG, LRS has joined the firm as Senior Geologist. Denton is widely recognized for his professional scientific experience in geology and hydrogeology, environmental geology, land judging, and materials science.
With over 30 years of experience, he has particular expertise related to: karst geology; environmental issues including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments; hazardous waste characterization and remediation; land judging skills; and construction materials testing.
“Bob brings a depth of knowledge related to environmentally and geologically-challenged sites,” says Ted Lewis, Principal and Operations Manager at GeoConcepts. “He works closely with officials and regulators in Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland to remediate contaminated sites, and is recognized for his abilities to find cost-effective solutions to these issues.”
Denton is a nationally certified professional geologist; a licensed remediation specialist in West Virginia; a licensed asbestos inspector in Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland; and a licensed lead inspector/technician in West Virginia. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Science from Thomas A. Edison State College in 1988.
