Celebrating Accomplishments in 2010 and Looking Ahead to a Successful 2011

(ASHBURN, February 25, 2011) – As GeoConcepts prepares to celebrate its 12 year anniversary we can not help but reflect on how far we have come and contemplate how far we will go. As 2010 came to a close, GeoConcepts had many things to celebrate. We completed our first international project at the US Consulate Office Building in Lagos, Nigeria for a project managed by the US Department of State and worked on four projects on the National Mall including the Eisenhower Memorial which was designed by world renowned architect Frank Gehry. We finished several large design-build projects including the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Headquarters Facility in Fort Meade, Maryland, a 1,070,000 gross square feet development included six attached buildings ranging from one to five stories in height, a separate two-story parking garage, and a 600,000-gallon water tank. We worked on major mixed-use developments such as Penrose Square in Arlington, Virginia and North Bethesda Market in Maryland.
This year we look forward to working on several remarkable projects such as the Social Security Administration Metro West Facility in Baltimore, Maryland, the Route 50 Widening VDOT design-build project in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, Virginia, and Largo Metro Town Center in Maryland. It will be our seventh year working with GSA for the St. Elizabeths West Campus Redevelopment project as the geotechnical engineer of record.
