GeoConcepts provided geotechnical engineering design and construction materials testing services for multi-story administrative/laboratory facilities built in a campus setting. The approximately 1,070,000 GSF design-build project includes six attached buildings ranging from one to five stories in height, a separate two-story parking garage, a 600,000-gallon water tank, associated surface parking areas and access roads, and two stormwater best management practices (BMP) wet ponds. GeoConcepts performed a geotechnical engineering study, which included a field investigation, soil laboratory testing, and an engineering analysis of the geotechnical data. The report was reviewed and approved by the US Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District. In addition, GeoConcepts personnel oversaw all construction-related materials testing and inspection services which was built to meet LEED Silver criteria.
