GeoConcepts dedicates significant resources to the professional development of our staff. We conduct bi-monthly in-house training sessions and fund technical conferences and courses. We also provide financial support for the pursuit of higher education degrees. We firmly believe by providing educational opportunities to our staff we ensure they remain challenged and motivated to provide the best quality service to our clients.
We are committed to improving our community by educating the public, volunteering, providing technical services, and supporting local non-profit and community organizations. Our staff routinely conducts technical workshops and informative sessions to public audiences, clients, educational institutions, and other groups with interest in our areas of expertise to share our knowledge and passion. Our staff volunteers to serve in leadership roles for a variety of industry and community organizations such as the Loudoun County Economic Development Advisory Commission, the Virginia Cave Board, and the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists. We frequently support local non-profit organizations by providing technical assistance, volunteers, and/or donations to organizations such as Loudoun Cares and the Loudoun Education Foundation. As well as donations to the George Mason University Civil Engineering Institute (CEI) and the upcoming Kincora Children’s Science Center. GeoConcepts also participates in VDOT’s Adopt-A-Highway Program where we keep two stretches of Loudoun County Parkway free of trash. We enjoy coming together as a team to make our community a better place to live and work.
GeoConcepts devotes extensive resources to promote sustainability in both our projects as well as our operating procedures. GeoConcepts co-founded the “Green Business Challenge” concept that has been adopted by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce as a means to promote and reward sustainable business operations. GeoConcepts strives to achieve environmental balance with their designs and has LEED Certified personnel on staff as well as experience completing over 30 projects built to meet LEED criteria.
