The senior leadership of GeoConcepts has an average of over 22 years experience and have spent their entire careers providing geotechnical-related solutions to projects in the Washington Metropolitan Area. They possess extensive knowledge of soil conditions and regulatory requirements in the various jurisdictions they serve. Our experience and expertise are trusted and relied upon by our clients to provide practical and cost effective solutions to development issues.

Vivian H. Lewis
President
B.A. International Business, The George Washington University
Ms. Lewis has over 29 years of experience in all aspects of business management, operations, policies and staffing. She is responsible for management of day-to-day business operations including contract development/approval, financial and strategic planning, and human resources.   She is actively involved in creating company culture and setting the tone for the firm’s business strategy and vision.  She develops and monitors both short and long term financial and operational strategies to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
 
Paul E. Burkart, PE
Director of Geotechnical Engineering Services

B.S. Civil Engineering, University of Maryland
Mr. Burkart has more than 26 years experience in geotechnical engineering and materials testing, and has provided project design and technical review of over 1,500 projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. He is active with the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) and the Washington Building Congress (WBC).

Tadeusz (Ted) W. Lewis, PE

Mr. Lewis has more than 24 years of experience in geotechnical, environmental, and hydrogeologic engineering. He oversees the daily technical operations of the company. Mr. Lewis is a member of the Loudoun County Economic Development Commission, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), American Society Foundation Engineers (ASFE), Eisenhower Partnership Board of Directors and Route 28 Highway Improvement Advisory Board.

Linda Erbs
Principal
B.A. Journalism and Business, University of Wisconsin
Ms. Erbs brings more than 23 years of working in both the public and private sectors. Ms. Erbs is active with the Loudoun County Economic Development Commission, the Water Resource Technical Advisory Committee, the Facilities Standards Manual (FSM) Public Review Committee, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), and the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA).
 
Daniel Gradishar, PE
Production Manager/Environmental Services Manager

Mr. Gradishar has 13 years of experience in environmental studies, construction management, and geotechnical engineering. He is responsible for direct supervision and management of all technical staff and manages GeoConcepts’ Environmental Services. Mr. Gradishar also has significant experience working on military installations and other secure facilities. He is actively involved with the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), American Society Foundation Engineers (ASFE), and the Geo-Institute.

Tariq Hamid, PhD, PE
Practical Oriented Technical Research Leader

Dr. Hamid serves as GeoConcepts’ Practical Oriented Technical Research Leader.  In this role Dr. Hamid is responsible for approval and oversight of all GeoConcepts’ technical research efforts.  These efforts are geared towards using geoscience related technologies/practices to provide value to clients.  Dr. Hamid has over 23 years of experience and is an active member of Virginia Tech’s Center for Geotechnical Practice and Research (CGPR), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Dr. Hamid is also a frequent public speaker and an author of numerous technical publications.

Eaton King
Construction Services Manager
Mr. King has over 14 years of experience in all aspects of construction related geotechnical materials testing services. He is directly responsible for over 20 field inspectors, prepares proposals, and manages a variety of construction projects throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area. He is very familiar with the regulations and requirements set forth by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and State Departments of Transportation (VDOT, MDOT, DDOT).
